I am very sad to share with you that Jeremy Kilpatrick passed away this morning. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease about 6 months ago and experienced rapid onset of symptoms. He had been confined to a wheelchair for quite a while but until very recently was still enjoying reading and visiting with people. Earlier this week he became bedridden and declined quickly the last few days. Thanks to the wonderful caregiver who cared for both Cardee and Jeremy, he was able to stay in the Woodlawn house until the end, which is what he wanted. I will send another message when there is an obituary and other information to share.

Je suis très triste de vous annoncer le décès de Jeremy Kilpatrick ce matin. Il avait été diagnostiqué de la maladie de Parkinson il y a environ 6 mois et les symptômes sont apparus rapidement. Il était confiné dans un fauteuil roulant depuis un certain temps, mais jusqu’à très récemment, il aimait encore lire et rencontrer des gens. Au début de la semaine, il est devenu invalide et a rapidement décliné ces derniers jours. Grâce à la merveilleuse aide-soignante qui s’est occupée de Cardee et de Jeremy, il a pu rester à la maison de Woodlawn jusqu’à la fin, comme il le souhaitait. J’enverrai un autre message lorsqu’il y aura une notice nécrologique et d’autres informations à partager.
